Barossa Valley wineries
The Barossa Valley has the most vines of the two regions: 11,156 hectares, between 112 and 596 metres above sea level (Wine Australia). Among its Ancestor vines, at least 125 years old, are Langmeil’s The Freedom Shiraz, planted in 1843 and Yalumba’s Tri-Centenary Grenache, planted in 1889 (Barossa Old Vine Charter).

The two wine regions of the Barossa zone as Wine Australia defines them; a winery is placed in a region when its address lies inside it.
