Privacy

This page explains what we store when you use a Wine Radar account, check in at wineries or write tips. You can use the rest of Wine Radar without an account. Data controller: Foodbergs Stockholm AB (org.nr 559518-4457). Contact: [email protected].

Without an account

Check-ins you make without an account are saved only on your own phone. We count visits anonymously (no cookies, no personal data) with GoatCounter, so that we can show which wineries are visited most.

What we store with an account

Your e-mail address (to send you sign-in links), your nickname, country and whether your profile is public, the wineries you check in at and the date, and the tips you write. For each check-in we also keep the exact time and your phone's position for 90 days, only to stop fake check-ins; after that only the winery and the date remain.

What others can see

Nothing, unless you make your profile public. Then your nickname, country and number of wineries can appear on the explorers list, and your nickname next to your tips. Your e-mail address and positions are never shown.

Why we may store it

To provide the account you asked for (contract), and to prevent cheating on the lists (legitimate interest). We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

In Cloudflare's database with storage in the EU. Sign-in e-mails are sent through Brevo (France). Tips are checked automatically for offensive content by Cloudflare's AI service before they are published.

How long

Until you delete your account. Sign-in links stop working after 20 minutes. Login sessions end after 180 days.

Your rights

On the page My wine trip you can download all your data and delete your account with everything in it, at any time. You can also ask us to correct something, or complain to your data protection authority (in Sweden: IMY).

Age

Accounts are only for people who have reached the legal age to buy alcohol where they live.
