McMinnville wineries
The McMinnville AVA lies west of the city of McMinnville and stretches about 32 kilometres south-southwest towards the Van Duzer Corridor. It covers the east- and southeast-facing foothills of the Coast Range between about 60 and 300 metres, with shallow soils of marine sediment over basalt, less rain than further east and drying winds from the Van Duzer Corridor. Pinot noir makes up about 84% of the plantings.
