Wine area · Ribbon Ridge AVA
Ribbon Ridge wineries
Ribbon Ridge is a regular spur of uplifted ocean sediment off the northwest end of the Chehalem Mountains, within that AVA, covering about 14 square kilometres. Its soils are uniform ocean sediments, the surrounding hills shelter it, and with few aquifers most vineyards are dry farmed. Pinot noir makes up about 68% of the plantings.
