Van Duzer Corridor wineries
The Van Duzer Corridor is a gap in the Coast Range through which ocean winds funnel into the valley, cooling it from as early as 2 pm. The breeze dries the vines and reduces the risk of fungus, and the grape skins thicken, giving more colour and tannin. About 400 hectares of vines grow in 18 vineyards; the most common grapes are Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Pinot gris, Riesling, Pinot blanc and Sauvignon blanc.
