The Zona Este – San Martín, Junín, Rivadavia, Santa Rosa and La Paz – has the largest vineyard area in Mendoza: 58,679 hectares in 6,347 vineyards (INV, 2024). San Martín alone has 25,847 hectares, more than any other departamento in the province.
