A capital city with real commercial wine-growing inside its limits: vineyards on the Nussberg and Kahlenberg above Grinzing and Nussdorf, on the Bisamberg north of the Danube around Stammersdorf, and in the south around Mauer and Oberlaa. The city’s own wine is the Wiener Gemischter Satz, several white grapes grown, picked and made together, a DAC since 2013.
