San Gimignano wineries
San Gimignano, the town of medieval towers west of Siena, is known for Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a white wine that in 1966 became the first wine in Italy to get a DOC and is now a DOCG. Red Chianti Colli Senesi and San Gimignano Rosso grow here too.
