Spring Mountain District wineries

Spring Mountain District lies on the steep eastern slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, at about 180 to 790 metres. Most vineyards are above the fog line, with warmer nights and cooler days than the valley floor, on well-drained soils of weathered sandstone and shale. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Zinfandel are grown here.
