Chardonnay is the Napa Valley’s most planted white grape, with 13% of the vineyards (Napa Valley Vintners, 2024). It is a main grape in the cool south, in Los Carneros, Coombsville and Oak Knoll District, and in the hillside and mountain AVAs Atlas Peak, Crystal Springs, Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder and Spring Mountain District.
