Noin 6–60 metrin korkeudessa ilmasto on maltillinen: aamut ovat viileitä ja sumuisia, San Pablo Bayn suunnasta puhaltaa tuulia, ja maaperä on soraista hiesumaata ja tulvamaata. Pääasialliset rypäleet ovat Cabernet Sauvignon ja Merlot.
