Yountville wineries
Yountville is home to the Napa Valley’s very first vineyard, planted by George Calvert Yount in 1836. At about 6 to 60 metres it is moderate, with cool foggy mornings and breezes from San Pablo Bay, on gravelly silt loams and alluvial soils. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the main grapes.
